Our Design Ethos
Elph ceramics are designed and handcrafted by sisters Eloise and Sophie in their Southern Highlands studio. The Elph Ceramics collection celebrates our minimalist aesthetic and love of functional beautiful things.
Individual and Hand Crafted
We have designed each piece to bring joy and a little luxury to our everyday rituals and we hope you find the same joy when using elph ceramics products.
The collection is ever expanding as each product is inspired by repeated shapes from our existing products: the tiny house, the bottle vase and the cuddle cup.

Eloise originally designed the Tiny House as a form to test glazes but it has become such a fan favourite that we had to include it in our new range!

Design through making
When designing new elph ceramics products, sometimes we sketch but more often we design and prototype using the pottery wheel. The malleability of clay and the immediacy of throwing on the wheel allows us to make one-off tests when inspiration strikes.
Prototypes are then tested by our friends and family before being put into our manufacturing schedule so only the favourites go into production!
The Tiny House
The Tiny House is the only product that we build by hand. Eloise originally designed the tiny house as a form to test glazes but it has become a staple in our range.
A design challenge for the future will be limited editions for our cutest and most popular product!

We've been making iterations of the Cuddle Cup for over five years so it had to be central in our collection. Drawing inspiration from the gentle curved base of the Cuddle Cup we have created the entire cup, mug & bowl range.

Cuddle Cup
The first Cuddle Cup was made in 2014 and was the central piece in designing our collection.
The curve that fits perfectly into your hands inspired products from the bud vase to our mug and bowl collections.
Bottle Vases
Our tiny, small and medium bottle vases have been in production since 2016 and recently we have expanded the range to include our newest bottle for taller stems, the tall bottle vase.
The classic bottle shape allows for bunches of flowers to keep their bouquet form while hiding whether they are simply placed or held using string.

Bowls + Serving
There is nothing we enjoy more than a long lunch with family and friends. Sharing meals and special occasions together is central to our ethos. When designing our bowl range we wanted to create really useful sizes that would effortless for everyday meals and perfect for serving.
